Testing Facilities
All our testing meets the requirements specified in ASTM F1545 - 97 (Reapproved 2009). PTFE tubing is tested from each sintering run, tests include visual, dimensional, specific gravity and tensile tests.
Tensile Testing :-
The minimum tensile strength and minimum elongation at break when tested in accordance with ASTM F1545 specifications.
Test specimens with their major axis cut longitudinally shall meet the mechanical property criteria as per ASTM standard specified in Table 4, and specimens cut circumferentially will have a minimum tensile strength at break of 2500 psi (17.3 MPa) and a minimum elongation of 200 %. All these test results are noted on the extrusion details sheet and held securely by PH1.
Hydrostatic Testing :-
Hydrostatic testing has long been used to determine and verify pipeline integrity. Our all pipes & fittings are hydro-tested prior to dispatch, the flanges are bolted on to the test rig fitting and then it is subjected to a hydrostatic pressure test of 29 barg for 3 minutes pressure test.
Electrostatic Testing :-
Electrostatic Test are Conducted with a nondestructive high-voltage tester at an output voltage of 25 kV to ensure the integrity of the liner. A visible or audible spark, or both, that occurs at the probe.
Specific Gravity Testing :-
Specific gravity for polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resins, when tested in accordance with Test Methods D 792 or D 1505.
Tensile Testing :-
The minimum tensile strength and minimum elongation at break when tested in accordance with ASTM F1545 specifications.
